We are looking for motivated individuals who want to help win the Campaign for a Fishable/Swimmable Blackstone River by 2015. If you have an interest in the environment and clean water, join us for a hands-on role and help bring the Blackstone River back to its original glory.
The Blackstone River is one of the many special attractions of living in this area. A cleaner river is in everyone’s best interest, from more recreational opportunities and improved wild life habitat to higher real estate values.
Kayaking, recreational fishing, and canoeing on the Blackstone River are some of the most popular outdoor recreational activities in the area. Was it only 30 years ago that the river was pegged as one of the nation’s most polluted waterways? Look at the dramatic improvement that has been accomplished in such a short time! Now we are mobilizing to make the Blackstone River an even more vital part of our lives. We are working to make the river fishable/swimmable, and, with your help, it can happen by 2015.
